1. Who is responsible
Conecta is published on Google Play by Conecta Dev. This policy applies to the Conecta app identified by package com.hall.conecta and the services that support it.
For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email conectagd@gmail.com.
2. Data we may collect
The specific data depends on the features you use and the permissions you grant. We may process the following categories:
- Account and profile: email address, username, first and last name, phone number, Google sign-in identifier, profile photo, and verification status.
- Location and address: approximate or precise location while you use nearby features and grant permission, saved addresses, and public business locations. Conecta does not request background location.
- Content and activity: businesses, services, products, events, posts, images, reviews, favorites, and other information you choose to create or submit.
- Bookings and orders: dates, times, quantities, reference amounts, the accepted policy, booking status, and the related deadlines.
- Payment coordination: the method you choose, the reference number you declare, and the receipt you decide to attach. Conecta does not process the charge and never receives your money; the receipt is an image you send that the business and support can see to resolve the case. Never send banking passwords or access codes.
- Messages: conversations between customer and business inside the app are retained to keep the case coherent and may be reviewed if abuse is reported.
- Technical data: app version, device type, technical identifiers, notification token, usage events, performance diagnostics, and crash reports.
- Trust signals: the outcome of your bookings — completed, cancelled, or missed —, reports received, and moderation decisions, used to compute a reputation attached to your account or your business.
- Communications: messages and information you send when requesting support, reporting a problem, or exercising a privacy right.
3. How we use data
We use information only to operate and improve Conecta. This includes:
- Creating and protecting your account, authenticating you, and maintaining your session.
- Showing nearby results and businesses when you choose to share location.
- Understanding what you need when you search, and ordering results by relevance.
- Publishing and managing profiles, content, favorites, and reviews requested by you.
- Coordinating bookings and orders, warning about deadlines, and keeping the accepted agreement.
- Reviewing published content and keeping the community safe.
- Sending operational alerts and notifications that you can control on your device. Promotional messages are sent only if you turn them on: they are never on by default.
- Preventing abuse, investigating failures, maintaining security, and providing support.
- Measuring aggregate usage and performance to improve the experience.
4. Automated content review and trust signals
So that nobody runs into harmful content, the text and images published on Conecta — profiles, services, products, promotions, reviews, and messages — go through an automated review before or shortly after they appear. Depending on what is detected, content may be published, held pending review, or blocked.
That classification is performed by a specialized external provider that receives only the content to be analyzed. An automated result is not the last word: you can request human review through the contact email, and repeated violations may limit features or suspend the account under the Terms and conditions.
Conecta also computes trust signals from how bookings are fulfilled and from the reports received. Those signals influence the order of results and which features are available, do not replace a decision about your rights, and can be reviewed through the same channel. Result order is not for sale: promoted placements are always labeled as such.
5. Service providers and disclosures
Conecta does not sell personal data or share it for third-party advertising. We may also disclose information when required by a valid legal obligation or when necessary to protect users, Conecta, or third parties from fraud, abuse, or security risks.
To operate, Conecta relies on specialized providers that process information on its behalf, only for the purpose they are given and under their own security and privacy commitments. These are the categories and what each one receives:
- Identity and access: verify who signs in to the account, including Google sign-in if you choose that path.
- Hosting, database, and image storage: keep and serve the information and the photos you upload.
- Notifications and email: deliver push alerts and operational email to your device.
- Maps: draw the map and place what is near you.
- Artificial intelligence: interpret the text of a search and classify published content for the review described above. They receive the text or image to be analyzed, not your identity or your history.
- Error and performance diagnostics: record failures so they can be fixed, configured not to send personal data and scrubbing sensitive information before it leaves the server.
6. Where your data is processed
Conecta operates for Latin America, but the providers above process information on servers located outside the country where you live, mainly in the United States and the European Union. By using Conecta you accept that international transfer, made under each provider’s contractual and security commitments.
If the law of your country requires an additional step to transfer your data abroad, write to the contact email and we will explain how to exercise it.
7. Device permissions and controls
Conecta asks for three permissions: location, to show what is near you; notifications, to warn you about your bookings; and access to the photos you choose to send, which on current systems is granted photo by photo through the device’s own picker. You can deny or revoke them at any time in system settings, and some features will no longer be available when they depend on a permission you removed.
We only receive photos or files you choose to submit. Do not share passwords, access codes, or information that is not necessary for the relevant feature.
8. Security
We apply technical and organizational measures intended to protect information, including encryption in transit through HTTPS, secure credential storage on the device, and access controls across Conecta services.
No system is infallible. If you identify a possible incident, report it promptly through the contact email on this page.
9. Retention and deletion
We retain account data while the account is active and for as long as necessary to provide the service, resolve support matters, maintain security, and meet applicable obligations.
After verifying a valid deletion request, we delete or anonymize the account and associated data from active systems. We may retain limited information when required for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, or the defense of claims. Backups expire through their normal lifecycle and are not reused as active data.
10. Your choices and rights
You can update parts of your profile in the app, revoke device permissions, decide whether you want promotional messages in Settings, and request access, correction, or deletion by writing from your registered email. You can also ask for human review of an automated moderation decision or a trust signal. To delete your account, use the specific process linked at the end of this page, also reachable from Profile › Settings › Legal inside the app.
Uninstalling the app does not automatically delete your account or data hosted by Conecta.
11. Children and policy updates
To hold a Conecta account you must be 18, or the age of majority in your country if it differs. Conecta is not directed to anyone below that age and does not seek to knowingly collect their data. If we find an account created by a minor we will close it and delete the associated information; if you believe a minor in your care gave us data, write to the contact email.
We may update this policy when features, providers, or legal obligations change. The current version and update date will always be published here, and when the change is material we will ask you to accept it again inside the app.
